Journalist, PhD in Communication and Semiotics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). Adjunct Professor in the Journalism course at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), where he is also a permanent professor of the Master's in Communication (PPGCOM-UFS). Leader of the Journalism and Audiovisual Narratives Research Group (Jornau). His academic and scientific work focuses on the interface between journalism and audiovisual. He is currently the scientific director of the Brazilian Association of Journalism Researchers (SBPJOR), integrating the Network of Researchers in Television Journalism (Rede Telejor).

In addition to his academic career, he serves as the Superintendent of Communications at UFS, managing institutional communication strategies. His practical experience includes working in television and print media, as well as working in institutional communications.
